2006년에 최초로 개최된 IDEB는 격년마다 브라티슬라바의 최대 전시장인 Incheba, P.l.c.에서 2018년까지 성공적으로 개최되었다. IDEB는 방위산업내 대기업과 중소기업 간의 격차를 해소하고 국제적으로 다양한 기술을 선보인다. IDEB는 보안, 안전 및 국방 업계의 사람들이 만날 수 있는 슬로바키아의 대표적 전시회 중 하나이다. 2020년에는 코로나19 감염증으로 인해 2020년 3월에서 10월로 1차 연기, 2020년 10월 1일부 슬로바키아 정부의 다중운집행사 규제가 강화되어 20201년 3월, 8월로 총 3차 연기되었고, 8월중에 시행한다.
