The Dalian Senior Care Expo was initiated in 2004. Back then, driven by the changes in the lifestyle and elderly care concepts of the elderly population, as well as the development needs of the elderly industry, it was founded to build a communication and cooperation platform for elderly-related sectors and promote the development of elderly care undertakings.

Initially co-sponsored by the Dalian Municipal People's Government and the China Gerontological Society, it has grown into a key elderly industry expo in Northeast China after years of development. It has also been awarded titles such as the ""Most Potential"" Expo in China's exhibition industry and the High-Quality Brand Expo of Liaoning Province."
